Saint Thomas Rutherford Names New Chief Medical Officer

Dr. Julian Yang, MD, MBA

Saint Thomas Rutherford Hospital concludes a national search for a new Chief Medical Officer with the addition of Dr. Julian Yang, MD, MBA.

Dr. Yang joins Saint Thomas Rutherford as CMO after acquiring extensive experience at Duke University Health System, where he served as Medical Director for Neurosciences and Vice Chair for Contracts and Strategy in the Department of Neurology.

A graduate of the University of Southern California's Keck School of Medicine, Yang completed his residency at Barrow Neurological Institute at Saint Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center. He subsequently moved to Durham, North Carolina, to complete Duke University's exclusive Neurocritical Care Fellowship program. As a faculty physician, he has published on stroke systems of care with a focus on quality metrics for telemedicine. Dr. Yang obtained his Master of Business Administration at The Fuqua School of Business at Duke University.
