Last month, TriStar Southern Hills Medical Center announced the expansion of the hospital's surgical services program with the addition of bariatric weight-loss surgery, including the latest in minimally invasive techniques that have been proven to reduce a patient's postsurgical pain, shorten recovery time and lower the risk of complications and infection.

"I decided to get involved in weight-loss surgery because I saw an opportunity to treat a multitude of diseases at once with one procedure," said William Yi, MD, a board-certified general surgeon with Southern Hills Surgical Consultants. "I'm excited to be able to offer one procedure that assists patients in addressing all these diseases to help them begin their journey to a healthier life."
