Adams has served in leadership positions for NHC for nearly four decades and was named CEO in November 2004. Entering 2017, Adams has retired from day-to-day operations but stays at the helm of the company as chairman of the board. He has extensive long-term care experience, including serving NHC as a healthcare center administrator, regional vice president, COO, and president with his leadership responsibilities increasing as NHC and its affiliates have grown to operate more than 140 facilities and programs in 10 states.
