On the Move
As has been widely publicized in the Nashville media, Community Health Systems has announced a $66 million expansion facility in Antioch anticipated to bring more than 1,500 new employees to Davidson County over five years. The 240,000-square-foot project is anticipated to be completed in 2017.
CHS is the nation's largest hospital operator now owns 199 hospitals in 29 states. The hospital company, which currently has 1,500 employees working in Franklin, has been seeking additional office space since its $7.6 billion acquisition of Health Management Associates in January 2014, which added 70 hospitals to the company's operations. The new jobs coming to Antioch will be back-office function and support jobs.
