Avondale Partners has announced that William F. (Bill) Hagerty, former Tennessee Commissioner of Economic Development under Gov. Bill Haslam, has joined the firm’s Advisory Board.
Hagerty is managing director of Hagerty Peterson & Company, LLC, a merchant bank and private equity investment firm that he co-founded. He served as a state commissioner through January 2015. During his tenure, his team executed some 700 transactions, securing commitments for more than $15 billion in capital investment and 90,000 jobs. He also chaired the Launch TN Board. Hagerty has a depth of experience in both the public and private sectors, including serving on the White House Staff where his portfolio included international trade, commerce, treasury, defense and telecom and he was selected as a White House Fellow.
Later, he joined Trident Capital and launched his career in private equity. He is also an avid community volunteer.
