Christine Lovly, MD, PhD, Ingram Associate Professor of Cancer Research and associate professor of Medicine, has been elected to the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) board of directors.
The AACR has more than 54,000 members in 130 countries. Its mission is to prevent and cure all cancers through research, education, communication, collaboration, science policy and advocacy, and funding for cancer research.
Lovly is an internationally respected physician-scientist who specializes in thoracic malignancies. Her laboratory research is directed at understanding and developing improved therapeutic strategies for molecular subsets of cancers.
Her term on the AACR board is for 2023-2026. She is one of five leaders in cancer research newly elected to the board.
