Nashville-based Mondale Support Services has named Sharon Simmons as managing partner. Prior to joining the firm, which offers a variety of multimedia and travel services to physician researchers, Simmons accumulated 25 years’ experience as executive assistant to renowned hip expert J. W. Thomas Byrd, MD. She brings an insider’s perspective on the needs of the physician researcher to her new role. During her tenure with Byrd, Simmons managed publication of over 200 peer-reviewed journal articles, book chapters, and abstracts in addition to serving as developmental editor for three textbooks and multiple special edition journals on the topic of hip preservation surgery.
