Alive Hospice Announces Three Executive Appointments

Middle Tennessee nonprofit Alive Hospice recently announced three additions to its executive leadership team.

Robert Berkompas, MD, a veteran physician who has practiced in Middle Tennessee with Saint Thomas Medical Group for the last 25 years, has been named Alive Hospice’s chief medical officer. He is board-certified in internal medicine and served as an Alive Hospice team physician for seven years before his appointment as the agency’s chief medical officer.

Kathi Lindstrom, PhD, FNP-BC, ACHPN, HSMI, has been named executive director of the Alive Institute, Alive Hospice’s center for outreach, innovation and advocacy. A leader in the field of hospice and palliative care, Lindstrom will continue to serve on the faculty of the Vanderbilt University School of Nursing. 

Kira Hilley has joined the agency as vice president of community development. In that role, Hilley is responsible for the development and management of a comprehensive fund development program, as well as marketing. After executive positions in finance and marketing, she most recently served as senior director of development and advancement for Nashville Opera. Prior to that post, Hilley served as executive director of Leadership Music.
