CGS Administrators, a prominent supplier of various Medicare services, recently won a medical equipment contract worth approximately $78 million that is expected to lead to the hiring of an additional 150 people in Nashville this spring. The company, which has its home office in MetroCenter, already employs more than 800 in the area. This latest contract expansion calls for CGS to process durable medical equipment, prosthetics, orthotics and supplies claims for more than 6.8 million Medicare beneficiaries in Kentucky, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio and Wisconsin. In a statement, CGS executives said the company would now handle about 60 percent of Medicare's DME workload.
