NASHVILLE - Oxeon, an industry-leading healthcare firm driving transformation through talent, entrepreneurship and investment, today announced two major milestones one year into the tenure of CEO Sonia Millsom: Duncan Reece is stepping into the newly created position of company President and Oxeon is making a pivotal expansion into the Nashville, TN market with the opening of a new corporate office.

Oxeon’s Growth and Expansion

While the healthcare industry experienced one of the more tumultuous years on record, Oxeon is doubling down on the need to connect people and ideas to change healthcare for everyone. Since its founding in 2011, Oxeon has made an important impact: placing more than 1,000 executives in transformative roles, making more than 10 seed investments in businesses that went on to become unicorns and launching nine Oxeon Venture Studio companies impacting more than 1 million lives across the country.

Geographic expansion into Nashville

Nashville is a healthcare hub home to established enterprises and growth stage companies, with more than 500 healthcare companies in its network driving an estimated $100 billion in combined revenue. Oxeon is poised to partner with the area’s defining legacy companies as well as digital health newcomers as they work to solve some of the nation’s biggest healthcare challenges. The new office will similarly be dedicated to search, investment and company creation and be led by long-time Oxeon Principal, Tom Keefe. The company will host a launch event on September 21 with top healthcare entrepreneurs, investors and leaders in Nashville.

Keefe commented, “We're excited to expand our impact in this talented, dynamic community alongside both legacy leaders and upstart companies tackling the next phase of healthcare innovation. Opening an office builds on past and current Oxeon success in Nashville, alongside best-in-class investors and businesses. We look forward to becoming a bigger part of the community and aim to invest further in the market.”

Keefe leads executive search efforts across the firm’s growth and private equity-backed healthcare IT and service clients. His practice area specializes in businesses growing 20-100% annually, partnering with Executive Teams, Boards, and Investors to identify best-in-class C suite talent to propel leading healthcare businesses to scale.

Most recently, he has built the leadership teams of Help at Home & Sevita (Centerbridge and Vistria), Iodine Health (Advent),  Tango Care & Sandstone Care (Vistria), Landmark Health, Suvida Health (General Atlantic), Nox Health & Quest Analytics (Vestar), and Rubicon Founders portfolio companies: Honest Medical, Imagine Pediatrics, Profound Research, and HarmonyCares (Adam Boehler, WCAS, and Oak HC/FT), among others.

Keefe is a New Jersey native, the product of a multi-generational healthcare family tree, and graduate of The George Washington University with a degree in International Affairs and Economics. He began his career in Europe, living and working in The Netherlands as a business analyst for a private equity-backed logistics and manufacturing business. He lives in Nashville with his wife Amy, sons Tommy & Alexander, and their mini-Goldendoodle Leroy.

Oxeon, founded by Trevor Price in 2011, is an industry-leading builder of transformational healthcare solutions, powering change to our nation’s broken healthcare system through talent, entrepreneurship and investment. Comprised of three core businesses, the Oxeon holding company includes: Oxeon Search, which has placed more than 1,000 executives in healthcare leadership roles; Oxeon Investments, which makes selective seed investments and takes equity positions in Oxeon portfolio companies to accelerate change in healthcare; and Oxeon Venture Studio, which designs, facilitates and launches innovative healthcare businesses.
