Meharry Medical College and the Ascension Foundation for Health Equity know that an early love for science is the pathway to creating the next generation of doctors, scientists and STEM professionals. Both organizations subscribe to Meharry’s mission of “serving the underserved,” and understand that to do so, the health care workforce must be diverse. An early love of science propels students throughout high school, college and into medical school. The next generation of doctors is built when they understand just how fascinating – and rewarding – science can be.
