The T.J. Martell Foundation hosted the inaugural Women’s Health and Wellness Summer Soirée on June 28 at Green Door Gourmet. Presented by SESAC, the event garnered over 150 guests to focus on women’s health and wellness, as well as women’s cancer awareness and prevention. Hosted by Amy Marsalis with Speaker Beth Harwell providing the keynote address, proceeds from the event went to the Foundation’s breast and ovarian cancer research programs at the Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center.
The Summer Soiree was also a kickoff for Chic Awearness, which is set for Sept. 26 at Prima in The Gulch. Chic Awearness is an annual event created to improve survival from ovarian cancer through awareness, education and research. The event will feature a cocktail reception, fashion show and silent auction. For tickets and info, go to tjmartell.org.
