David Patzer, MD, has been promoted to medical director for the Mental Health Cooperative (MHC), a nonprofit behavioral health company working with adults and children living at or below the poverty level. Patzer has served as medical director for Child and Youth Services at MHC since 2009. In his expanded role, he will provide clinical and administrative leadership to all MHC psychiatrists and advanced practice nurses, in addition to oversight of quality of care.
A graduate of Northwestern Medical School, Patzer completed his residency in general psychiatry and fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at Yale University. He is also a graduate of the addiction psychiatry fellowship at Vanderbilt University and is board certified in child, adolescent and adult psychiatry.
