Cory Barnett, MD, has joined Saint Thomas Medical Partners Gynecology Oncology. Double board certified, Barnett has received multiple awards for his research in his field and is widely published. Previously, he was chief of the Division of Gynecology Oncology at the F. Edward Herbert School of Medicine at Brooke Army Medical Center and was deployed to Afghanistan as part of Operation Resolute Support.
He received his undergraduate degree from Belmont University and his medical degree from the University of Louisville School of Medicine, in Louisville, Ky. He completed his internship and residency at Wright-Patterson Medical Center/Wright State University Combined Program in Obstetrics and Gynecology, Wright Patterson Air Force Base, where he was later named administrative chief. He completed a fellowship in gynecology oncology at Duke University Medical Center.
