Maureen Iselin has joined the Nashville Health care Council as communications coordinator and will provide support and administrative assistance for the organization's communication activities. As communications coordinator, Iselin is responsible for assisting in the development and dissemination of communications materials aimed at maintaining the council's position as a key information resource on Nashville's healthcare industry. Previously, she served as marketing and communications manager for Waves, Inc., a local nonprofit serving people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Prior to relocating to Nashville, Iselin provided communications and project management support as an onsite contractor at the National Institute of Mental Health. A native of northern Virginia, Iselin earned her bachelor's degree from Christopher Newport University in Newport News, Va.
Kara Knappe will serve as executive assistant to the Council President Hayley Hovious. In this role, Knappe will maintain the president's calendar, be the initial point of contact for board members and manage special projects. Knappe is a recent transplant from New York City where she lived for 12 years and worked as a personal assistant.
