In 2000, Bottorff co-founded Council Capital. The private equity firm has more than $300 million of capital under management and is investing out of its third fund, which was raised in 2016. Investments primarily are in early-growth and growth stage companies in healthcare services and healthcare IT. Previously, Bottorf spent 32 years as a successful financial services CEO, serving as the key executive of four banks. He has served on many corporate boards from startups to Fortune 500 companies. He is board chair for Council Capital portfolio company NuScriptRX and a past board member for the Nashville Health Care Council.
