Recently, Tennessee Orthopaedic Alliance (TOA) announced the addition of Richard I. Williams, MD to its large network of providers. With the addition of Williams to TOA's Cookeville office, the location has become a full-time care center, open five days a week.
A graduate of Dartmouth College, Williams earned his master's and medical degree from Indiana University, where he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society. He completed an orthopaedic residency at the University of Cincinnati, followed by a Sports Medicine Fellowship with Kentucky Sports Medicine in Lexington. Head team physician for Tennessee Tech University, Williams was named 'Sports Medicine Person of the Year' in 2006 by the Tennessee Athletic Trainers Society.
