Ascension, the largest non-profit health system in the U.S. and the world's largest Catholic health system, announced last month that Jason Dinger, PhD, would join Ascension Holdings as chief incubations officer.

In the role, Dinger will provide leadership to design, guide and operationalize new solutions and transformative innovations across Ascension, which includes Saint Thomas Health in Middle Tennessee, with an emphasis on those that require incubational and entrepreneurial direction. He will organize a business development and planning model to accelerate new solutions for deployment across Ascension and to commercialize appropriate products and services nationally and internationally.

Earlier this year, Dinger led an Ascension task force focused on population health capabilities and solutions. Previously, he was CEO of MissionPoint Health Partners (now part of Ascension Care Management), which he led since its founding in 2011. Prior to that, he was the chief strategy officer for Ascension's Saint Thomas Health. Dinger has a doctorate in leadership, policy and organizations from Vanderbilt University, where he also earned his bachelor's in public policy.
