Moving on up ... the Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt has opened the 10^th floor, housing the 38-bed Pediatric Heart Institute. Patients moved to the new 40,000-square-foot dedicated cardiology unit last month. The project represents completion of the first phase of the hospital's $150 million construction project, which is adding four floors and 160,000 square feet of additional space on top of the current facility.
