April 8, 2020 - Leaders of the American Medical Association (AMA), including President Patrice A. Harris, M.D., M.A., and CEO and Executive Vice President James L. Madara, M.D., will host a live virtual town hall on Thursday, April 9, exploring the challenges, concerns and demands facing physicians during the unprecedented COVID-19 crisis. Joined by a panel of health care experts, AMA leaders will provide an update on efforts to advocate for PPE production and distribution, support private practice, and ensure that physicians and frontline health care workers have the tools they need to combat COVID-19. This interactive event is a two-way conversation with our nation's physicians to discuss needs on the ground and ways the AMA can support removing obstacles faced at the state and federal levels in confronting the COVID-19 pandemic.
