Weinstein Joins Specialty Care as CMO, EVP

Noted cardiothoracic surgeon Samuel Weinstein, MD, MBA, recently joined the executive team of Nashville-based clinical services provider Specialty Care. In his new role, he will serve as chief medical officer and executive vice president with oversight of clinical innovation to improve outcomes.

His past experience includes serving as director of Pediatric Cardiothoracic Surgery and surgical director of Cardiac Transplantation and Mechanical Assistance at The Children’s Hospital at Montefiore. He also held leadership roles with the adult cardiothoracic program at Montefiore Medical Center. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania, his MBA from Fordham University, and his medical degree from The State University of New York at Stony Brook, and did postdoctoral training at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center in New York and The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.
