Dan Thompson has been named executive director of the Saint Thomas Health Foundations. Previously, he served as director of Capital Giving and Major Gifts for Belmont University.

Thompson began his career as a business development consultant for the Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development. Other experience includes stints as executive director of the Tennessee Business Roundtable and as statewide finance director for Tennesseans for Senator Thompson before establishing his own consulting practice, Dan Thompson Associates. Thompson earned his undergraduate degree at Southern Methodist University and is completing an MBA at Belmont.
