Grace Healthcare of Whites Creek has been presented with a Silver Award by the American Health Care Association in recognition of the facility’s outstanding care and quality. Grace Healthcare is one of only two in the state to win this national honor in 2015. Reaching the silver level means the skilled nursing and rehab facility will be eligible for gold status next year … just in time for the AHCA’s national meeting in Nashville.

Linda ClenDening, MS, FACMPE, healthcare consulting manager for PYA, has been named president of the Nashville Medical Group Management Association Board of Directors. Kelley Rice, MBA, CMPE, operations manager for Premier Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine, is the group’s president-elect.

Alan Drake, MD, a family practitioner in Sparta, Tenn., is the recipient of Capella Healthcare’s 2015 Physician Leadership Award. Drake is affiliated with Saint Thomas Highlands Hospital –which was part of Capella Healthcare for more than seven years, the last three as part of the Capella Saint Thomas Health Network before the hospital transitioned in July to full ownership by Saint Thomas Health.

North Highland, a global management consulting firm, was recently ranked 18th in a survey of the nation’s largest healthcare management consulting firms by trade publication Modern Healthcare. Another Nashville company, Cumberland Consulting Group has been named one of the ‘Best Places to Work’ in healthcare for the third consecutive year by Modern Healthcare.
