March of Dimes Recognizes Middle Tennessee’s Best Nurses

Mark you calendar for Tuesday evening, Dec. 8 as the March of Dimes recognizes Middle Tennessee’s top nurses in 16 categories during the annual “Nurse of the Year” Awards.

More than 400 are expected to attend the event, which begins at 6 pm at the Franklin Cool Springs Marriott. The annual honors recognize Middle Tennessee nurses who demonstrate excellence in various aspects of the nursing profession including administration, clinical care, education and research. An executive leadership team of volunteers comprised of nurses from various settings and roles reviews the nominations in each category with the winners unveiled at the gala event.

Dan Thomas, meteorologist with WSMV Channel 4, will serve as the evening’s master of ceremonies. Local sponsors include First Tennessee Bank, Lipscomb School of Nursing, Curb Records, CEP America, and Western Governor’s University. Nashville Medical News is the event’s media sponsor.
