Willie V. Melvin, III, MD, FACS, a board-certified general surgeon, recently joined the medical staff of TriStar StoneCrest Medical Center. Melvin also joined The Surgical Clinic, which is located on the campus of TriStar StoneCrest in the Physician’s Building.

A graduate of Texas Southern University in Houston with a bachelor’s degree in biology, Melvin received his medical degree from Meharry Medical College and completed his residency at St. Joseph Hospital in Houston. Prior to joining The Surgical Clinic, Melvin served as assistant professor of Laparoscopic and Endoscopic Surgery at Vanderbilt University Medical Center and at Nashville VA Medical Center.
