Recently, NextGxDx Inc., which provides an online genetic testing marketplace for healthcare professionals and hospitals, announced the addition of two team members promotion of one and a new agreement with Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center. NextGxDx will deliver GeneConnect™, the genetic test utilization management solution that enables healthcare institutions to create genetic testing formularies that can lower the costs and address the workflow inefficiencies associated with genetic test ordering, at the children’s hospital.

Cheryl Hess has joined the company as an account manager. She is a board-certified genetic counselor with deep expertise in patient care and a background leading local and national utilization management initiatives. Currently co-chair of the National Society of Genetic Counselors’ Test Utilization Subcommittee, Hess joined NextGxDx from Detroit Medical Center University Laboratories, where she managed testing utilization. She holds a master’s in genetics from Case Western Reserve University and is certified by the American Board of Genetic Counseling. She will report to Dan Kauke, former NextGxDx marketing director, who has been promoted to the newly created role of director of customer operations.

Nick Tazik has been tapped as director of marketing. Previously, he was with the strategic marketing department at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. While at Vanderbilt, Tazik supported the launch and growth of new clinical initiatives, including the Vanderbilt Health Affiliated Network. Prior to that, Tazik led marketing for Premerus Diagnostic Accuracy, a subsidiary of MedSolutions. He completed his graduate management education at the Owen Graduate School of Management at Vanderbilt University.
