On the heels of a disappointing last half of 2015, officials with Community Health Systems announced that for various reasons, including current market conditions, the announced spin-off of Quorum Health Corporation would be delayed. Originally the planned divestiture of 38 hospitals and a consulting business was slated for completion in the first quarter of 2016. The company has revised the timeline and now expects to complete the transaction in the first half of 2016.
