LifePoint Health recently appointed three seasoned leaders to key roles at the LifePoint Health Support Center in Brentwood.
Jay Gunter has joined the Physician Services department as vice president, finance. In this position, he will be responsible for overseeing all revenue cycle, financial reporting and accounting activities for the department. Gunter brings more than two decades of experience in healthcare finance and accounting to his new role. He comes to LifePoint from DSI Renal in Nashville, where he served as executive vice president and chief operating officer. He also served the organization as senior vice president of finance and operations. Prior to joining DSI Renal, he was vice president, revenue cycle for Franklin-based Renal Advantage and vice president of revenue management for Fresenius Medical Care.
Tracie Stratton has been named vice president, nursing and clinical operations for the company’s Western Group of hospitals. In this role, she works closely with hospitals and clinicians to drive clinical and operational improvements in patient safety, service and quality. Additionally, she provides guidance and assists with the education and training of hospital CNOs and other clinical leaders. Stratton has more than 17 years of nursing experience. She has been with LifePoint since 2012, most recently serving as CNO at Los Alamos Medical Center in Los Alamos, N.M., and was named LifePoint’s CNO of the Year in 2015. Prior to joining LifePoint, she served as CNO at Mountain View Regional Hospital in Casper, Wyo.
Russell Palk, who has joined LifePoint Health as director, government relations, brings more than two decades of experience in government affairs and advocacy work to his new role. In this position, he is responsible for building and overseeing relationships with elected officials, civic and community leaders, regulatory agencies and other interest groups at the state level for the company. Palk comes to LifePoint from American Addiction Centers, where he served as vice president of government affairs. Prior to that, he served as director of state government affairs for AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals/Medimmune Biologics and also as the Southeast region public policy director for the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB).
