Scot McKay, MD, FAPA, has joined the child psychiatry team at Mental Health Cooperative. McKay will help with the further refinement and clinical oversight of child & adolescent psychiatry services in addition to seeing clients presenting with serious emotional/behavioral challenges.
McKay was an assistant professor at Denver Health where he focused on outpatient child/adolescent psychiatric clinic, crisis and school-based services. Prior, he served as senior instructor at Children's Hospital Colorado, intensive services and outpatient psychiatry clinic.
McKay is a graduate of the Medical University of South Carolina-Charleston and completed his residency and fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at the University of Colorado-Denver, where he was appointed chief resident. He is board certified in child & adolescent psychiatry and is a Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association.
