Scott Cihak, FACHE, chief executive officer of Kendall Regional Medical Center, an HCA facility in Florida, has been named CEO of HCA's TriStar Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, effective Nov. 28, 2016.
Cihak brings more than 20 years of progressive executive leadership within HCA hospitals to his new role. Since joining Kendall Regional in 2011, Cihak's focus on enhanced patient safety and improved patient outcomes led to Kendall achieving The Joint Commission Top Quality Award annually from 2011-2015, along with numerous other accolades. Prior to leading Kendall Regional, Cihak served as CEO and COO of several other Florida hospitals. He earned both his undergraduate degree in Health Services Administration and his MBA from Florida International University in Miami.
Cihak, a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives, replaces current CEO Heather Rohan who will transition to her new role as president of HCA's TriStar Division.
