Melissa L. Johnson, MD, a board-certified medical oncologist has recently joined Tennessee Oncology, one of the largest independent oncology practices in the country. Johnson cares for patients at Tennessee Oncology’s Centennial Clinic in Nashville. She is also the associate director of Lung Cancer Research at Sarah Cannon Research Institute.
Previously, she spent four years as a faculty member at the Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center of Northwestern University and Feinberg School of Medicine, where she specialized in the treatment of lung cancer patients. Johnson was a founding member of the Northwestern Medical Developmental Therapeutics Institute (NMDTI). She completed a medical oncology fellowship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
